FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN OKALOOSA COUNTY ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENTS STILL AVAILABLE FOR APRIL 26-30

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla.— The Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County (DOH-Okaloosa) is partnering with Okaloosa County Emergency Medical Services to offer COVID-19 vaccinations. Appointments are still available for vaccination events scheduled for April 26 and April 30 both online and over the phone.
Medical experts and doctors developed a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine. This vaccine is authorized by the Food and Drug Administration based on clinical testing. If you have questions, please visit It’s Up to You to get answers! The COVID-19 vaccine allows us to keep our family’s safe and protect the most vulnerable people. It is also a monumental step toward getting back to the moments we have all missed – visiting and sharing time with family and friends.
COVID-19 vaccinations in Okaloosa County are by appointment only and open to persons ages 16 and older (Pfizer-BioNTech). Any individual who is not 18 years of age or older by the day of their vaccination appointment must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to the vaccination clinic. Unaccompanied minors cannot be vaccinated and will be turned away from the vaccination clinic.

The vaccination provided will be the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine. A second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is required 21 days after the first dose. Learn more about mRNA vaccines and how they work.
Individuals receiving the vaccine must complete a consent form. This is available on our website. For those that cannot access the forms in advance, a paper copy will be provided at your appointment time. A consent form is required for each dose of the vaccine.
All individuals being vaccinated must show a valid government-issued ID. This can include a passport, driver’s license or military identification card. People will also need to bring their registration confirmation number.
