DOH-OKLOOSA AND DOH-WALTON TO HOST OKALOOSA-WALTON HEALTH EQUITY SUMMIT

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla.— The Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County (DOH-Okaloosa) and DOH-Walton will be hosting the first Okaloosa-Walton Health Equity Summit on April 28. The summit is a celebration in honor of Minority Health Month.

Dr. Cynthia Harris of the Florida Public Health Training Association and Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University will address summit participants about older adult health, mental health and substance abuse, housing and infant mortality.  

The Okaloosa-Walton Health Equity Summit will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams on April 28 from 9 a.m.– 11 a.m. CST. You can register to attend the summit by clicking here.

Registration closes on Friday, April 22. Please complete the registration form by April 8 to receive materials for the summit in the mail. If you register after April 8, these materials will be emailed to you instead.
