Niceville, Fla. – The health advisory issued by the Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County (DOH-Okaloosa) has been rescinded for the following body of water in Niceville, Florida:
  • Rocky Bayou

The City of Niceville Water & Sewer has conducted water sampling and testing, and Rocky Bayou has tested within the recommended surface water quality standards required by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. This was in response to a sewage spill that occurred December 29, 2016 at the intersection of Hasty Lane and Union Avenue in Niceville, Florida. Sewage did not get into any drinking water sources, and water available through the public water system continues to be safe to drink.
