The Tattoo (Body Art) Program, implemented by the Florida Department of Health, requires the licensure of tattoo artists and tattoo establishments. It sets forth educational requirements and standards of practice for conventional and cosmetic tattoo artists, as well as operational requirements for tattoo establishments. It is designed to protect the public from the risks associated with potentially infectious biomedical waste.
For Okaloosa County, the regional inspection authority is Escambia County.
