The program includes outpatient primary medical care, appropriate referrals to specialty care, laboratory and diagnostic services, supplemental pharmaceuticals, mental health services, nutritional services, substance abuse services, limited dental services and clinical care coordination.
DOH-Okaloosa coordinates primary medical care for persons that are Florida residents. Outpatient clinical services are provided through our primary care providers at DOH-Okaloosa. These providers also provide care specific to HIV. Specialty care may be provided, when available, by referral from the primary care medical professional to any one of the approved specialists within the care network. The HIV nurses will ensure coordination and continuity of each patient's comprehensive care.
The Ryan White Part B and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) programs that service this area will continue to provide case management assistance with transportation, food, pharmaceuticals and housing services. Please contact OASIS (Okaloosa AIDS Support & Information Services) at 850-314-0950 for Part B and HOPWA services.
All services associated with the Ryan White Part C program are available on an equal basis to any person in this region able to show proof of HIV+ status. Fees for some services will apply per the sliding scale schedule routinely used by DOH-Okaloosa based on client/family income.
