The Florida Department of Health permits and inspects mobile home parks, lodging parks, recreational vehicle (RV) parks, campgrounds and recreational facilities. The objective of this program is to minimize the risk of injury and illness in this residential environment. This objective is accomplished through routine inspections of these parks and camps ensuring the residents' risk for disease from an environmental origin are minimized.

Environmental Health inspectors conduct semi-annual inspections of each park or camp, including the site, water supply, sewage/ garbage disposal, sanitary facilities, maintenance and pest control. These facilities are regulated under Chapter 513, Florida Statutes and Chapter 64E-15, (pdf 56.24kb) Florida Administrative Code.

Inspectors also respond to any complaints from the public involving a park. Inspection reportsare available to the public.
