The Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County (DOH-Okaloosa) created the Healthy Okaloosa Worksites program to share health information and resources with local organizations, their employees, and their families.

DOH-Okaloosa believes that the workplace is an essential element to building healthy communities. This is because employees who feel supported and encouraged by their workplace are more likely to reach their goals in adopting healthier lifestyles. Not to mention, we spend a good portion of our day at work so it can make a large impact on healthy choices.

Joining the Healthy Okaloosa Worksites program is easy and has many benefits. It includes free health education resources, health toolkits, trainings, and a variety of activities on different topics like older adult health, nutrition, exercise, and more!

DOH-Okaloosa publicly celebrates organizations which are committed to a Healthy Okaloosa culture, where we all benefit from lower health care costs, healthier employees and families, and a happy, healthy lifestyle in Okaloosa County. Healthy Okaloosa Worksites recognizes organizations that meet specific worksite wellness standards, with sustainable policy and environmental strategies that support physical activity, healthy eating, breastfeeding support, and being tobacco free.
